According to Merel Bus from Inholland University of Applied Sciences, it is a logical step to be visible in the spaces where young people are exploring their options. “More and more young people are searching for information about their future studies on TikTok. Through our partnership with team5pm, it becomes easier for prospective students to discover our healthcare programs,” Bus explained. “We support them in the exploration phase by answering their questions.”
The campaign is initially focused on three programs: Nursing, Medical Imaging and Radiotherapy Techniques (MBRT), and Social Work. In short videos, current students share their experiences in an authentic way. This is intended to give prospective students a realistic impression of studying at Inholland.
Team5pm is implementing a Social SEO strategy for this campaign: creating content that addresses the questions young people ask online. “This approach not only increases visibility,” says Lars Reimink, partner at team5pm, “but also ensures that we reach students who are genuinely interested in a career in healthcare.”
The use of TikTok and Social SEO differs from traditional recruitment methods, such as open house events or brochures, and focuses on organically reaching students in their natural online environment. In the coming months, the campaign will be expanded with content about other healthcare and welfare programs.
